Welcome to Our 2025 Photography Vacations in Italy

What a trip! Our 2025 photography vacations in Italy were nothing short of magical. Each year, LSP Holidays curates an immersive experience that blends expert tuition with the beauty, culture, and flavours of Tuscany. This year’s journey was filled with cypress trees swaying gently in the breeze, sweeping Tuscan hills painted with golden light, vineyard rows stretching into the horizon, and the lively energy of Italian festas.

A Tuscan Welcome

Piazza Signorelli and Cortona’s Charm

The adventure began in Cortona, one of Tuscany’s most charming hilltop towns. Our guests arrived in Piazza Signorelli, where the warm sunshine welcomed us for our first lunch together. Over fresh pasta and a crisp glass of local white wine, friendships formed and excitement for the week ahead grew.

We then explored Cortona’s cobbled streets on a relaxed photo walk. From flower boxes bursting with colour to locals chatting in doorways, every corner offered a story waiting to be captured.

Sunset Over the Valley

In the evening, we surprised our group with a private sunset Cortona photography session at a villa perched above town. With 180-degree views, guests experimented with composition, exposure, and capturing fleeting light. Dinner was enjoyed al fresco at the wonderful La Loggetta restaurant in the main square, where the hum of Italian life added to the atmosphere.

Landscape Photography in Tuscany

Cypress Roads and Rolling Hills

The next day was dedicated to landscapes. Tuscany’s natural beauty is a photographer’s dream: winding roads lined with cypress trees, hills dotted with olive groves, and timeless farmhouses. Guests practiced using leading lines, natural frames, and golden-hour light to enhance their images.

Vineyards at Sunset

Our photography vacations in Italy wouldn’t be complete without a visit to a beautiful vineyard, we visited a vineyard with 360-degree views of the countryside. As the sun set, cameras clicked to capture sweeping panoramas and silhouettes of cypress trees. The day ended with a wine tasting and a superb dinner beneath fairy lights, surrounded by the laughter of new friends.

Street Photography in Ancient Hilltop Towns

Pastries, Coffee, and Latte Art

Street photography day began at Pasticceria Vannelli, where award-winning barista Pietro Vannelli welcomed us with pastries and rich Italian coffee. Guests not only photographed the lively café but also learned latte art in a hands-on workshop—capturing candid smiles and warm moments.

Antique Markets in Arezzo

Later, we headed north to Arezzo, one of our favourite cities for photography vacations in Italy. The famous antique market provided endless opportunities: vendors arranging vintage treasures, artisans polishing silver, and families bargaining together. Adding to the charm, two weddings filled the streets with confetti, music, and joy.

Experiencing Local Festivals

Rigatoni Polenta Sagra

One of the highlights of our photography vacations in Italy was joining the Rigatoni Polenta Sagra. Here, tradition and community came alive. Guests photographed cooks stirring enormous pots of creamy polenta, families gathered around long tables, and children running joyfully through the festival. It was an evening filled with colour, warmth, and authenticity—perfect for capturing candid Cortona photography.

Sunrise Magic

On our final morning, we rose early to photograph the Tuscan and Umbrian hills at sunrise. A mist rolled across Lago Trasimeno, creating ethereal light and silhouettes of cypress trees against a pastel sky. Our Cortona photography guests experimented with long exposures and creative compositions, producing some of their best images of the week.
